THE TRIBE OF FALLING LEAVES
***
Welcome to The Tribe of Falling Leaves (TToFL)! We are a friendly Tribe that always welcomes newcomers, so feel free to join! This is a guide that will introduce you to this Tribe's ways...
[b]HISTORY
The Tribe was formed too long ago for any cat to know who formed it, why and how it was formed, etc. but they do know that it was formed in leaf-fall, making it a sacred time for the Tribe (more on that later).
TERRITORY
We live in a expansive, dense, mixed woodland with a light canopy. Thick undergrowth covers the ground, making prey plentiful. Little streams weave through the trees, merging every so often or tumbling down slopes as beautiful waterfalls. The streams aren't deep enough for fish, but sometimes frogs and water voles can be found. Sandy clearings are dotted around, perfect for training To-Bes. The Tribe doesn't have borders or scent marks, the forest is so large and prey is so plentiful that almost nobody bothers them, the cats hunt where they like, but often close to camp. Foxes and badgers that stray too close are driven away.
CAMP
The camp is situated in the heart of the forest. It is a large dip in the forest floor and is very sheltered from the cold winds that can weave through the trees in leaf-bare. The banks of the dip have been dug into to form dens, a bit like a rabbit's warren. There is the Leader's den, the Healer's den, the Hunters' den, the To-Be's den, the nursery and the Elder's den. The centre of the camp is a sandy circle. The fresh-kill pile is inbetween the Hunters' and the To-Be's dens.
PREY
Anything. Mainly mice, squirrels and birds, but the Tribe eats anything that can be found in a forest!
TRIBAL TRADITIONS
On every half moon, at moonhigh, the whole Tribe speaks to their ancestors, The Tribe of Eternal Lives. The whole Tribe gathers in the centre of the camp in a large the circle and close their eyes. The Leader summons their ancestors with a few of their own words before lying in the centre of the circle. The Tribe then all speak with the deceased.
The Healer receives prophecies from the Tribe of Eternal Lives, but the Leader can too.
Unlike some Tribes, the Leaders receive nine lives.
Because the Tribe doesn't visit a sacred place, like the moonstone, to speak to their ancestors, new leaders are given nine lives in the Leader's den. At moonhigh, the new Leader lies in the centre of the den, not in their nest, and closes their eyes. The Healer summons The Tribe of Eternal Lives.
As the Tribe is believed to have been formed in leaf-fall, the season is sacred for the Tribe. During the moons of leaf-fall (September, October and November), the Tribe speaks to their ancestors every other night, instead of at the half moon. They also leave prey in the trees and on the ground in the forest as offerings.
The Tribe attends Gatherings with the Clans.

RULES
1) Please have a Tribe name! I know that some people will want to RP different animals and have wacky names... but it just makes life easier if you have the right sort of name.
2) Please don't use the threads for chatting, they just get clogged up and everyone forgets the plot line.
3) If you are a cat of a high position (e.g. Second-In-Command) and you know that you're going to be inactive for a while (e.g. You go on holiday for a week) please let me know! Any high positioned cat that doesn't RP for a few days will be demoted and a more active cat will take their place.
4) All WCRPG rules apply.
